Emil Rashkovski was born in Sofia in 1976. He graduated from the Technical University of Sofia and later earned a master's degree in Economics from Sofia University. Photography and serigraphy have been central to his life, influenced by his family’s involvement in these areas.

Rashkovski has participated in workshops with Stratos Kalafatis and Martin Atanasov and completed studies at the Parallax School of Photography. He pursued contemporary art courses as well as trainings with the Magnum Agency, receiving mentorship from the curators of Gallery Sinthesys in Sofia.

Emil Rashkovski’s first solo exhibition TerraDeForming was shown at the International Meetings of Photography festival in Plovdiv in 2020. His second solo exhibition HELLO SUMMER! was displayed at Gallery Synthesis in 2023. He was also part of Cosmodrome exhibition in 2019. In 2015 Rashkovski was awarded the national prize in the World Photography Awards for Bulgaria.
